Pippi herself greeted the children once they arrived to the party. Children were excited to see her and soon enough they were engaged with a bunch of fun games. Pippi told stories of her trips at the sea and led the kids on a big sailing adventure with whales, storms, mermaids, swimming and climbing.. The kids played Pippi Longstocking versions of the games Simon Says and The Musical Chairs - where instead of chairs the kids used funny hats. Once the kids dropped out one by one from the game they received a golden coin from Pippi's treasure chest.
Snacks were served after some games, we used raffle to select the seating order - the birthday girl got to pull out guests names from a hat. Snacks included for example chicken meatballs, hot dogs, small sandwiches, cheese balls and popcorn. The table was decorated with little Pippi figurines and balloons and everything was so colourful and fun! After the meal Pippi took all the kids "shopping". Since Pippi is very very rich, she can go to a candy store and buy all the candy that she wants! So that is exactly what the kids got to do next: A candy store was revealed behind a closed door - I played the sales lady and cashed gold coins from the kids and gave them treat bags that they could fill with candy!
Here in the candy store we sang "happy birhtday to you" and toasted the birthday girl with some red sparkling juice. The centerpiece of the dessert table was a cookie house that looked like Villa Villekulla! After this the kids did some arts&crafts and had a bit of play time. And soon it was time for the last big surprise: Pippi's horse arrived to the party! The children were asked to come to the window, and here it was - outside in front of Villa Villekulla they could see this cute white pony with black dots! The kids dressed up quickly and run outside - everybody got to pet the horse and go for a ride. While the kids took turns in riding we organized face painting, cotton candy and some outdoor games for the others. Parents arrived to pick up the kids and joined for a bit of play-time outside. The party was so much fun and the kids were amazingly well behaved and calm. Everything went exactly as I had planned, and everybody really enjoyed themselves.
Below you will see many more pictures of the party!
